Fundraising

We are constantly trying to raise funds to conserve and protect our wonderful collection, which one leading conservator has named the best in the country outside Cathedral Collections. We do this by applying to various charities and to giving private viewings to groups who wish to spend the morning, afternoon or day hearing about and appreciating our wonderful vestments. We tailor make these visits to suit the individual groups offering coffee, lunch and/or tea and also a walk round Upper Froyle which is known as The Village of the Saints along with its history. We have had W.I. groups, photographic groups, embroiderers, artists, Mother Unions amongst some of our visitors and without boasting all have been utterly amazed at what we have and go home on a high.

If you are at all interested in visiting us or supporting us with a contribution, we even have an ‘adopt a garment’ project where an individual offers to conserve a particular item and it then becomes , known as ‘The John Smith’ Stole or Chasuble or whatever item is chosen.
